I was taught that giving back was a form of respect. Be there to help make a difference, don’t sit back and complain, pick up the broom and sweep. Whatever job needs to be done, just do it. I have carried that with me throughout my life.

 

I opened Coastal Produce in 2014 (aka Coastal Market) E.T. (Ed Townes, Jr) was my first customer and the rest of the community followed. I have said many times I know more about peoples eating habits than should be allowed lol

 

During Covid I made sure we were fully stocked with toilet paper and other necessities for the community. I made home deliveries to keep the elderly safe and at home. I made home wellness checks on some of our elderly at the request of their out of town family. Community trust.

 

Worked as a volunteer for the Art Show for 5+ years.

Worked with Keep Brevard Beautiful.

Through Cocoa Beach Main Street, a 501c3 non-profit organization, I have worked hard on our mission of helping downtown Cocoa Beach thrive. By organizing monthly Friday Fests and other special events such as; WinterFest, Sip-n-Stroll, Art Wave, Songwriters Festival, Surfin’ Mingle and along with Coconuts on the Beach our beloved Tree Lighting and Cookie Crawl, creating the opportunity to have your personalized Brick installed at City Hall and many other things.

 

Economic vitality is so important to our downtown businesses. Results are a vibrant, fun and safe downtown for us and our families to enjoy.
